Living your Christian life in our current society is very hard. Our society as a whole is turning away from God. As Ecclesiastes states there is nothing new under the sun. So the problems we face are not new just the pace at which these problems present themselves. Men and women have always had relationship problems, raising children and to seek a balance between their natural lives and their Christian Life.. Men are bombarded with half dressed women and sexual ads at every turn along with the world’s idea of success. Women are pressured into roles they were not designed for, being the head of the house, being the sole disciplinarian, being in charge. There is a consistent need to fit in, so to live your Christian Life means that you must stand apart.
Our children are being raised by other people. Parents are turning education over to the state, moral guidance, if there is any, is turned over to pop cultures and to some extent churches. The kids are being raised to believe if it feels good do it. Our children are not seeing the Christian Life modeled for them. They children are taught to think they can do it all. They fail to turn to adults for guidance or help. The rate of kids committing suicide is on the rise. Our younger kids are often sent off to day care because both parents are working out side of the home. My God provided a husband who holds a doctorate and still seeks advice from wiser people who have traveled this road before.
I spent years seeking the world’s definition of success only to find unhappiness, and sorrow because it forced me to turn away from my Christian Life. Now that I am living more in line with my Christian life, the way that Christ designed me to live, my bills are getting paid, my family is happier and I am able to relax and find true contentedness and HAPPINESS. Living my way did not work and I no longer want to fight to have life so hard. So I rush to embrace my Christian Life, realizing that everything that has happened to me has happened because God allowed it. I truly want to be in God’s will. I recently head Kirk Cameron talking about his Christian life. He clearly stated that if God allows him to act as a means of providing for his family then he will consider himself blessed. In the end he knows that there is nothing worth discouraging his Christian life that is of any value. Gold and silver and things of this world will rust and fade away, so store up your treasures in Heaven and let your heavenly Father reward your Christian Life.
